Greetings from a person who spent 26 years in the United States, then 19 in Denmark and now 13 in Singapore. Do the math and then sort out how to categorize me.
The idea behind this blog was simply to boycott facebook because Zuckerberg is a fascist and I don’t want to be part of lining his pockets. Here, anyone interested can continue to enjoy my rants and ravings, as well as more calm observations.
The dining birds, funny enough, were provided by the Joshua Tree National Park FlickR page, at the same time that I was off to see the U2 Joshua Tree tour. What a coincidence.
My other sites on the world wide web? Well, there’s one actual website and then several “places” like Instagram (which I reckon I should also boycott as Zuckerberg also owns that), and Twitter, distancing myself from the cacophony, these days I only monitor work-related accounts here (yawn), then there’s Flickr, YouTube, Geni, Tumblr (lordy, which Tumblr? Ok, we’ll start with this), and some others like Strava.
My business, or more accurately stuff I do on a professional basis, is all on LinkedIn.
I was prompted to use the testimonials feature below to quote others, talking about the same thing – in their own words. Perhaps one day your clever words will appear there.
To blog is therefore to let go of your writing in a way, to hold it at arm’s length, open it to scrutiny, allow it to float in the ether for a while, and to let others,… pivot you toward relative truth.Andrew Sullivan
